Have you ever been zealous to serve God, but it seems God has been slow to act on your behalf? In today’s readings we hear How God makes Elijah wait for Him to speak in a still small voice. Afterwards, God raises up the helper Elisha to succeed Elijah. In the Epistle Reading, Paul writes about our freedom to walk in the Spirit especially the “Fruit of the Spirit.” In the Gospel Reading, Jesus must go through the same thing as Elijah, suffering on the cross and being will to go through it. Are you willing to suffer with Jesus and willing wait for His help?
