Third Year Confirmation
  • Youth Confirmation is a 3-year program for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students which prepares them to confirm the covenant God made with them at Baptism.
  • The study is based on Luther's Small Catechism and includes church history, memorization, attendance at weekly classes and Sunday morning Bible study.
  • Classes meet on Wednesday evening from 5:15 to  6:30 pm.
  • Students also participate in worship as acolytes.
  • Classes are taught by Dallas Schulz, Tim Draube, Frank Tenuta and Pastor Kenny Hsu.

  • At this time, we are starting confirmation classes in-person on September 20, 2023.
  • On September 13th we are having an orientation for all grades.

For this year, we are hosting a time for the confirmation students to gather before classes called Homework Huddle on Wednesday afternoons. Students will have the chance to work on any homework they received that day, have a snack, and play games with their classmates from 4:15 to 5:15pm
We will meet in the Fellowship Hall for pizza at 5:00 to switch gears into a devotion and confirmation classes for the rest of the time until 6:25. We'll end with a prayer with everyone and dismiss at 6:30. The locations of each grade and classroom are the following: 1st Year – Youth Room, 2nd Year - Church Sanctuary/Green Classroom, 3rd Year – Fellowship Hall.

  • You will recite your memory work to your teacher in your area. During Homework Huddle, we can also work on memory work has your homework.
  • If you or someone in your household isn’t feeling well, please inform Pastor Kenny through text or call him at this number: 712-898-2728.
  • We will all begin with an opening devotion in the Fellowship Hall and end with a closing prayer there as well.
  • There will be a tray specifically for completed Sermon reports on the same table you can pick them up. We will also have a couple sheets to give to you at Orientation.

  • If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
