Family Events

Sunday School Kickoff: will be Sunday, September 13 at 9:30 a.m. for Children ages 3-18. Sunday School will begin in Sanctuary, and pickup will be in basement classrooms. Sunday School sessions will be Sept. 13 to Dec. 20 and Jan 10 to May 23. Please fill out the registration form and bring it to the office or to the kickoff day.

Back to Church Sunday: We will be celebrating Back to Church Sunday on September 12 & 13 along with Sunday School Kickoff. Bring a friend, a neighbor or your family and worship the Lord with us. Following the services we will have light refreshments available at the back of the church, and you are welcome to come downstairs and fellowship after both Saturday and Sunday services.

Voters’ Meeting: There will be a Voter’s meeting on Sunday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. to call a new pastor. All voting members are requested to attend.

PTL (Parent/ Teacher League) Meeting: All parents are invited to our pizza potluck planning meeting on Monday, Sept. 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the school gym. Bring a pizza to share and some good ideas for things to do this year.

Senior Youth Gathering: The Iowa District West Senior High Youth Gathering is designed for high school students in grades 9–12 and will be at Camp Okoboji Oct 3-4. Centered on the theme “Unshakable Light,” inspired by John 8:12 (“I am the light of the world”), the gathering aims to encourage and strengthen students in their Christian faith. Deadline to register is Wednesday, Sept. 16. Cost $90 for one night and $120 for two. Talk to Brandi Beller to get signed up.

Junior Youth Gathering: Join junior youth from across Iowa District West for an exciting weekend of faith, fellowship, and fun at the JR Youth Gathering 2026 October 24-25 at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines. Centered on the theme "Love God. Love People." This event will inspire and encourage young people to grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and deepen their relationship with Christ. The registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 22. Cost is $175. Talk to Brandi Beller to get signed up.
