Curriculum 

Academic Program

  • St. Paul's program meets all of the requirements for an approved elementary school in the state of Iowa.
  • The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the enrollment of students and the administration of its program.
  • Textbooks are evaluated regularly and purchased on the basis of their compatibility with the goals of the school and their quality in presenting subject matter for instruction.
  • The curriculum includes instruction in Christian studies, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, music and physical education.
  • The school offers band instruction beginning at the third grade.  
  • Computers are integrated into the program at all levels.
  • Small class size allows for individual attention to student needs. 
  • Special help is available in speech and reading for those who need these services.  
  • Before and after school care is available for an extra fee.

Christian Studies

  • All students participate in daily Bible study, worship and prayer. 
  • Spiritual growth is one of the chief objectives of the school. 
  • A weekly chapel service offers an opportunity for worship.  
  • Students also memorize Bible verses, sing hymns and songs, and participate in special programs which demonstrate their growing faith.
